Oracle
OpenWorld comes to San Francisco the week of December 2 - 7. With a
variety of topics and interest areas, this tradeshow put on by
Oracle Corporation has something for everyone.
Database
Specialists president Roger Schrag has been asked to participate in
the popular "Oracles of Oracle" closing session on
December 7. This session features a seven-member panel of leading
Oracle experts, including Rich Niemiec of TUSC, Ari Kaplan of Expand
Beyond, and Matt Swann of Amazon.com. Several concurrent panels take
place earlier in the day, culminating in the final "Oracles of
Oracle" general session. It's a great opportunity to learn from
highly regarded leaders in the Oracle community. You can learn more

Oracle Performance
Management - A Radical Approach
Highly
regarded Oracle performance tuning expert Gaja Krishna Vaidyanatha
spoke at a recent Northern California Oracle Users Group conference
about his radical approach to Oracle performance management. Gaja is
the author of "Oracle Performance Tuning 101," and his
two-hour NoCOUG presentation received rave reviews from the DBAs and
